Vintage hand-knotted pile rug designed by Barbro Nilsson in 1954. Handwoven by Gunni Mattsson at Märta Måås-Fjetterström AB, Båstad, Sweden. Marked AB MMF and BN (artist’s initials). 

This rug comes with a certificate of authenticity. This rug is currently on display in our Stockholm showroom. 

Gröningen, with its subtle variation of squares, brings a gentle touch of color and warmth to any space.

MATERIALS AND CAREThe rug is hand-knotted in wool on a linen warp. Wool is naturally stain-resistant and should not be washed too frequently, as this can strip the natural oils that protect the fibers.

To ensure even wear, rotate the rug periodically. Regular vacuuming is beneficial, but avoid vacuuming the braided edges and refrain from using a vacuum with rotating brushes.
