Sometimes referred to as Liquidambar, this is a special oil that can be difficult to find.

It is most often used to fragrance perfumes.

• Add to water or electric diffuser or vaporizer and breathe deeply whenever you want to sharpen focus.


• This oil makes an excellent natural fragrance fixative for soaps.


• For best results, use sparingly in aromatherapy blends.

This oil has an affinity for the 6th and 7th chakras for its abilities to open up mental concentration and intuition. Strengthens and repairs auric fields. Balances masculine and feminine. Enhances telepathic abilities.

When the three wisemen visited Baby Jesus, they brought gifts of gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. Some research theorizes that the gold was not metal but the oil of Amber, which was more precious than gold during those times.

Amber Styrax has a thick, honey-like texture that is dark brown or golden in color.

The scent is sweet, woodsy, balsamic, and rich.

Styrene with vanillin, phenylpropl alcohol, cinnamic alcohol, benzyl alcohol, and ethyl alcohol.

Steam distillation from crude. A resinoid and absolute are also produced by solvent extraction.

A base note, Amber Styrax, blends well with Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Rose, Lavender, and spice oils.
